A recent study has shown that short daytime sleep improves memory and concentration

An experiment conducted in China on 2200 people over the age of 70 showed that cognitive function and language skills were higher in subjects who claimed to take regular naps than in the rest of the patients. The researchers emphasize that the key aspect is the duration of naps. Older people slept between 30 and 90 minutes a day in the afternoon and this is a standard number for their body. Younger people with more physical activity should reduce this time significantly.

The nourishing effects of a nap

The ideal power nap, which boosts vitality, regenerates the body and allows you to improve your concentration while continuing to work, should last from 10 to a maximum of 30 minutes. During this time, the body will rest, the part of the brain responsible for remembering facts will begin to work, cognitive abilities will increase, and motor skills will be strengthened. Scientists emphasize that regular napping can reduce the risk of dementia and extend life even by several years.
